| Life is a playground…so play! |
Last week I took my daughter to a birthday party. Typical kiddies birthday…kids running around screaming with glee and joy. Not a care in the world except having fun. It was time for a party game. My little goddess was new to this; it was a game called ‘ pass the parcel’. As the kids passed the parcel around and the music stopped, another layer of paper was torn off to reveal a little chocky they could have. The chocky was sort of like a mini prize as consolation for not getting the big prize in the middle. What I did notice though, was that each child got a chocky within each layer. These kids were not fussed whether they may be the winner of the big prize at the end. It dawned on me, what a clever mum to do this and how it can be reflected back into our own lives. We often think we need to get to the ‘big prize’ in life, but if we can appreciate the choices along the way as we reveal the path in front of us, this makes our journey all the more sweeter.
